Although the two I-10 entries to the Creole Nature Trail — Lake Charles and Sulphur — host a wealth of amenities such as cultural attractions, museums, casino gaming and world-famous Cajun Cuisine, much of your drive will pass through lightly inhabited environments. It’s always a good idea to start with a full gas tank and something to drink — particularly in the hot months.

The community of Cameron on the Gulf of Mexico has gas stations and a couple of restaurants. Restrooms are available at Sabine and Cameron-Prairie National Wildlife Refuges as well as a few private businesses along the route.

NOTE: For a complete list of restrooms, fuel, groceries and restaurants please see the Visitor Services section of this site.
